BRIDAL SHOWER TRENDS

INSPIRATION FOR OUR FAVOURITE PRE WEDDING EVENT

One of our favourite pre-wedding events, the bridal shower has become a great way for birdes to establish the tone for the wedding whilst also having a litttle fun.

Whatever the title (bridal shower, kitchen tea, cellar tea), this event is a chance to ‘shower’ the bride with gifts for her new home, love and a champagne or two. Bridal showers are no longer limited to afternoon tea's filled with toilet paper dress up games, instead, our clients have been re-inventing this 16th century bridal tradition and we love what we're seeing.

The trends… lots of colour, pastels, long tables and gold! Here we take a look at two of our favourite bridal showers. Photos by Ridhwaan Moola.

THE 'PRANZO'

Alessandra celebrated her upcoming wedding with a long lunch (or 'pranzo' in Italian). The Italian feast was a nod to her family heritage and the colour scheme took visual cues from a Dolce & Gabbana runway show. The result was nothing short of beautiful.

Starting with a base of trestle tables covered in our blush linen tablecloths, we used our Eden range of glassware with brushed gold cutlery and blush linen napkins to compliment the D&G print on the tables. The look was finished off with our Blush velvet Harlow Dining Chairs and divine bright florals and olive branches by The Wildflower, Perth. For the bridal table we went for a statement chair with our Grace chair in Forrest Green!

MELISSA'S PASTEL SHOWER

Our friends at Balloon Co created the most beautiful pastel inspired bridal shower for Melissa before she jetted off for her dreamy wedding in Puglia, Italy. This bridal shower continued on the pink trend, this time mixed with beautiful pastel florals by Natural Art Flowers and an incredible balloon installation.

A take on the traditional afternoon tea, this shower had the most delicious grazing table in the centre on our Blush table linen. Balloon Co, used our small round blush and peacock ottomans and mixed them with a little navy velvet too! We just love everything about this shower, take a look below!
